About the project

Dies Certus began in 2006 and has been a company since 2010, with its head office in Santiago de Riba-Ul and a second office in Nogueira do Cravo, in Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal. It works with 15 insurers and has clients across the country and abroad. In the shop, the trust is plain to see: 4.7 stars on Google and customers who write about friendly, attentive staff. Online, since 2017, there was only a page saying “under construction”.

Before any design, the study started at the shop, with the team, and went through customer reviews, a local newspaper article, the official registration as an insurance agent and the cover offered by each of the 15 insurers. From those conversations came the rule behind the whole site, set by the client himself: no vague phrases like “if anything happens to you”. Every product says exactly what it covers and under which conditions.

The new site starts with people’s lives, with nine life moments, from “bought a house” to “had a claim”, and explains 52 insurance products always in the same way: the situation, the risk, the protection and how Dies Certus helps. It answers common questions before the call, keeps both phone numbers at the top of the mobile screen and shows only real proof. For people who don’t know the agency yet, the first impression now matches the one you get walking through the door.

The case, in 15 panelsThe panels are in Portuguese, like the website. On a phone, tap a panel to see it larger.
Cover: the Dies Certus logo in white on dark red and the case title, “For the right days” (Para os dias certos).
The challenge: trust is earned at the counter, and the website had to earn it before the visit. Next to it, the head office at sunset.
The starting point: the old Dies Certus website, with four coloured squares and the words “Site under construction”.
How it was thought through: what was studied and what was found, each finding with its source.
Four directions set aside and why, the chosen direction and the key words of the strategy.
Project timeline, from 25 September to the website going live on 30 October.
Four phone screens linked by arrows: bought a house, what makes sense, the mortgage life insurance explained and the quote request with that insurance already chosen.
Decision 01: the “What moment are you in?” section with life moments, and the Moments page on a phone.
Decision 02: the “Before you call us” section, with three common questions and their answers.
Decision 03: how the individual health insurance is explained in four sentences, and the same insurance on a phone.
Decision 04: two phone screens: the call buttons and the form with the insurance already chosen.
Decision 05: real photos of the office and head office, the Google rating and the 15 partner insurers.
Decision 06: a website built to be found on Google; five screens of the site on phones, in perspective.
The Dies Certus symbol drawing itself in five stages, over construction lines.
The Dosis and Nunito typefaces and the four colours of the website.
